I frequent this marvelous restaurant once a month since I love the special air that is outline this place. The crew is very welcoming and qualified. The service is extraordinarily efficient. Also, the food they prepare is exceptionaly good. I ate there often and I was never disappointed. The pay is honest. I suggest this restaurant to to everybody.

After visiting UMA’s Puerto Rico, I had to try UMA’s Rockaway! We braved the 45 minute drive on the belt parkway on Halloween night for dinner, no regrets! We were welcome by a friendly waitress that suggested the Ukrainian beer, it was cold and light in taste similar to Mythos or American Michelob ultra. We shared a two appetizer that consisted of the scallion pancakes, samsa and filet mignon kabob w/side of potatoes for main entree. The scallion pancakes were delishesly seasoned fried dough. Similar to potato pancakes or PRican cod fish fritters(bacalaitos)! Samsa was a flaky baked pastry filled with lamb meat and onions! The filet mignon shish kabob was about a foot long of meat, with the side of potatoes, the meat was tender and perfectly seasoned, OMG the spicy tomato sauce that compliments the kabob was a shock of flavor to my tastebuds!! Finally, we shared the brownie in raspberry sauce, sprinkled in walnuts. I had to add ice cream because the chocolate taste was intense!! However, the best part of it all was the price! We had a date night for under 100.!!! Deff recommend UMA’s and will be returning!!

Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Russian food influenced. Do NOT miss the Uma salad, the scallion pancakes and vegetarian or beef manti! They are the best!
