I was a donor for over a year, until recently a couple nurses made some mistakes in the system resulting in me no longer donating. When I spoke with the manager in charge, she was very rude, constantly interrupting and trying to over power me verbally while I was speaking. While this company does rely on the lower class in financial need and college students to voluntarily donate their plasma while they resell it for 10x the price, I would expect at least a little bit more professionalism from management. The nurses I do acknowledge for handling this situation well and professionally, everyone does make mistakes and that is understandable, but how you deal with those mistakes has a large impact.

Its only been my second time here. My first visit was pretty intense and overwhelming with everything that was going on and of course being nervous didn't help as I haven't had a needle stuck in my arm for a blood draw in over 35 years. I have to be honest though I'm only doing for the extra cash as I need it to help cover my bills, although I really do hope it does help someone in need someday if needed. Ok, so back to my first visit. I went on a Saturday around 1pm. I was prewarned by a coworker about the first visit may take around three hours, which it did, but it went fast. The staff were amazingly organized for everything that was going on and I still have no idea on how the orchestrated it. My second visit was on Thursday at 6:45pm and it started off with confusion, but I noticed after looking around that some of the staff looked a little exhausted and I thought to myself if I had to do what they did all day I'd be like that to. They still had a great attitude though. Many kudos to all of the staff, you are extremely impressive!

The staff is amazing and very friendly. Dalton always is the best. Very good at what he does. The lines lately at 530-600 to get a bed are very long. Not sure it's worth my time anymore. I waited 70 minutes to get a bed today.

Donated plasma for the first time on 11/30/20, and have been trying to get the compensation promised to me ever since. Paid 20 instead of the 80 that I was advised I'd receive as a first time donor. Multiple voice mail messages went unreturned, as well as a direct conversation with a staff member advising she would have to have a manager call me back, and that never happened. As the other reviews state, the staff are all nice, but either they are not competent, or there is a serious breakdown in the process at BioLife. I'm not in it for the money, but BioLife should do as they say they are going to do because that shows integrity. If they are misrepresenting what they pay you, what else are they being disingenuous about? This is a large, factory-style environment clearly designed for optimizing profitability. Unless you are desperate and willing to settle for whatever they feel inclined to pay you, regardless of what you were told, avoid BioLife and save yourself hours of follow-up time and aggravation. I've since moved on to donate at Vitalant, which was a great experience, and the process was far less uncomfortable than it was at BioLife (different machine) with wonderful staff that constantly check on you, bring you hot packs, etc. to ensure you're comfortable.

I’ve never had any major issues here. I did get a hematoma once but that happens. My issue is how long it takes. A year ago I could be in and out in 45 minutes. Now I’m there for about 2 hours. The staff is friendly enough but they are slow. They amble around chatting with each other while there is a line of 15 people or more. I’m a college student in desperate need of money but it’s not even worth it to come here anymore.
