Mr & Mrs Griffis are wonderful folks, and their property on the headwaters of the Suwanee river is like no other!

Rated 5 stars just because the wonder couple of Mr and Mrs Griffis who own and run the place. This is the first place I would go in case of the zombie apocalypse. And I mean that in the most complimentary way I can muster. I loved it!!! NO cell service, Barely a tv signal, wildlife that comes to your door. So quiet and peaceful I could live here forever. IN the middle of nowhere. Closest town is 10 miles away and is called Fargo, GA. One road in and out. NO bugs during the winter months and far enough south for a snowbird to sleep peacefully for a few days before heading further south or going back north. Mr Griffis is a kind, endearing, a wonderful person. He has a neat little museum on the property where you can see some of the local wildlife and learn the history. Fargo has this neat little railroad caboose in town near the elementary school.

Very nice people. Only stayed 1 night. Wanted to be closer to the water, but had so much rain previously was a swamp. Great place if you have a small boat or canoe. Baths are clean , good hot water. Ladies anyway dont know bout the mens. Lots of huge old trees for shade. Bring plenty of bug spray.. you are in the swamp.. there will be flying bugs everywhere. Thats nature. Beautiful scenery...on the Suwannee River. Even has a small museum with some real cool things from the area. A must see.
