Our family found a unique table base and were in need of a table top. We wanted something of sold quality that would be an upgrade from a chain store, but we also needed a unique size to make the most of a smaller dining room. I wasn’t sure what I would find locally, but was more than thrilled to find Long White Beard. They were really easy to work with. They took the time to answer a million questions and walk thru different options with me. I’m a designer myself so details mean EVERYTHING to me. Their showroom inspired me to improve on my original vision and I am thrilled to admire our handsome, drool worthy, table at every meal. I would encourage anyone to take advantage of this local gem in Metro Detroit or from afar.

Absolutely exceptional work! These guys built a table for me and I couldn't be happier. I gave them a basic idea of what I was looking for and they took it from there. I'm so happy with the piece and I will for sure have them do more in the future.
Dan and Shelby worked closely with us to create a custom shelving unit of walnut and metal, and it is the centerpiece of our living room. Then they created a fireplace mantel of the same wood and it is so gorgeous. Every detail is meticulously crafted. I can't speak highly enough of their craftsmanship and talent.
I cannot recommend Long White Beard more! I found Dan & Shelby on Etsy many moons ago, and ordered a simple TV stand from them. I was so in love with it, that I asked them to build a closet system for me that I drew out. They took my design and made it come to life with beautiful precision. From there, they custom made a vanity for my guest bathroom, a live edge dining room table, live edge shelves for my master bathroom, and a long floating shelf for our bar area. They are not local for me (I'm in CT, they're in MI) but that doesn't stop me from going back time and time again. Each time, they have been quick to respond, helpful with suggestions and kept me abreast of the progress with my pieces. I have loved working with LWB and every time I have an opportunity to bring them back into my home and recommend them to friends, I do. If you want beautifully made pieces created by service oriented folks, LWB are your people. They certainly are mine.
