This place is not only the best venue in Detroit, it's one of my favorite anywhere. I have been coming to the Bag from Cleveland since 2012 (more than 30 shows) and I have always had an excellent time. Always an up close and personal stage, the upgrades in the past few years have made it even better! The sound is truly incredible and the mixing is done with expert precision. The best thing about the Bag, in my opinion, is the staff. From the front door to the bar to the waitstaff on the floor, I have nearly always been impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness of the employees. This place is not only the gem of Ferndale, it is a gem for the entire city of Detroit!!!

Saw such a great and funny live podcast, All Fantasy Everything, at The Magic Bag. It’s a small and I intimate setting and it was packed. The servers were really great, and speedy with our drinks. Not a bad seat in the house. Would for sure go see another show there.
Excellent venue for a show. Intimate staging allows a medium crowd for events and shows. Cleanest bathroom at a venue I have ever seen.
Enjoyed our experience at the magic bag, though the seating arrangements can be improved. Another thing that can be improved what is the food selection, popcorn is good but not fulfilling. Would recommend having a nice big dinner before going. In regards to sound quality, I was very impressed.
Staff was courteous. Drinks brought stage side quickly. Acoustics we're amazing!! Clean restrooms too!! Definitely going back!! Great venue
