Phoebe is one of the most fun, engaging flamenco teachers I've had, while also challenging students with constructive feedback and corrections, and also gently pushing us out of our comfort zone. She teaches not just the movement, but also the art and rich culture of flamenco, which is so essential to truly appreciate and understand this art form. I only wish I'd discovered her sooner!

Phoebe's dance classes are fun and very informative. Along with teaching dance technique, she tells the story of the gypsies and how Flamenco came to be. We also learn about the music from local Flamenco guitarists who play live guitar in class. I enjoyed learning about the culture & the music, along with how to move as a dancer. Who knew Flamenco could be so fun?! Looking forward to taking more of Phoebe’s classes!!

I'm a 60-something male who has never danced Flamenco before, though I've always loved the form. Phoebe did a great job of starting at the beginning by breaking down moves for the feet, legs, waist, arms and hands and then bringing it all together to help students dance! She keeps the encouragement flowing and spends time with each student. Surprisingly, I found that many of the values of Flamenco (own the floor, move with intention, swell your heart, tell a story) apply directly to life. Highly recommended class!
