I came by your shop today to pick up the order I placed 1-2 days ago only to be nonchalantly told that nothing was ready, but if I still wanted the 1 cupcake that WAS ready out of the 10 I ordered; that was still on the table. I’m not upset that the order wasn’t ready because I get it, sometimes things happen; I’m more upset that the fact that the whole day went by, I drove the distance and showed up at my scheduled pick up time (which was 4:30, so again, there was time in the day) - you couldn’t notify me? Give me a call and tell me about the delay? Poor customer service on your end. I placed this order as a treat for me and my family, to have something to enjoy, this would’ve been our first time trying this bakery as well; not necessarily for a special occasion but to change perspective here - what if it was? What if this was an order for some event I was throwing? The only thing you would’ve had me bring to the table is disappointment. Edit; after reading your responses to your lowest reviews, while I can applaud you for sticking up for yourself, your business and your staff because you are right - sometimes the customer is not always right, I was in the service industry for 5 years, believe me I get it. I guess I just wanted to add, if you were going to treat this review like the rest then go ahead, because I got time today.

Beautiful cupcakes that taste as great as they look! Ordered some custom cupcakes, and Haley was great to work with to help come up with some fun designs. They are like little works of art. Highly recommended!

My family has been getting desserts from Hive for a few months. We started exclusively getting goodies from them when the pandemic hit because they immediately started taking such conservative precautions to keep their staff and patrons safe. They swiftly implemented online ordering—and as a person who doesn’t love surprises—I really like being able to hop online and see what is available. I appreciate how inventive they are with their various desserts, and it is evident that the staff is skilled in the culinary arts because of the array of confections they produce. More recently, my sister had her heart set on a cake for my niece’s second birthday. I knew full well that to order a cake from Hive requires a few weeks of advanced notice—this fact annoys many people—but to me, it signals a bakery that produces quality product. My sister indicated her heart’s desire a little too late for a custom cake—honestly, even too late for a signature cake—but because Haley makes signature cakes every weekend, when I reached out and explained, she ensured we got a signature cake for my niece’s birthday. I’ve interacted with Hive staff, seen their social media presence, and tasted their delicious treats, and I am a devoted fan. I’m here for a company that doesn’t allow themselves to be mistreated and is vocal in the community on behalf of the little guy. Oh, yeah...and their cupcakes are the bomb.com.
