This is by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. I ordered the spicy pork noodle soup and Shanghai style chicken. The spicy pork noodle looked nice, but the spicy pork was cold (prepared ahead of time and refrigerated), while the noodles/soup were hot. This was really odd to me. The Shanghai style chicken was terrible. I know that the bone is supposed to be slightly red, because I've had this dish in the past. However, what was presented to me was ridiculous (ridiculously under cooked!), I told the waitress about it and she said it was supposed to be slightly raw. There was blood leaking onto the chicken and the meat was slightly pink. I couldn't finish it because I didn't want to get salmonella poisoning. I'd never come here again.
Had my duck for Thanksgiving and cake too across the street for dessert. Duck and dumplings, love this combo. The pan fried shredded pork noodles were a bit saucy but very tasty and good value. You must try this place when you come out to Northeast Queens.
Terrible Shanghai food in Flushing!! Scallion pan cake with very tiny scallion, I questioned waiter, he said: In Flushing all the restaurants make scallion pancake are like this. (LoL, no sense at all) Another order is dumping with soup. We Spitted out 1st bit, because meat not cook well. After reheated, my friend try one and said “meat is not fresh” We left with most of order not eat.
I went there on a friend's recommendation, and I am glad I did! The pork dumplings were amazing.
After hearing good things about Yu Garden from a Co-worker, we had lunch today. I was nicely impress. The atmosphere, the service and definitely the food. We tried a few varieties of Dumpling and a rice dish. I am looking forward to returning here with my family . Worthy of 5 Stars
