I submitted an obituary for my grandfather to be published and 2 days later the Herald news removed a person from my grandfather's obituary. I emailed the editor and got no response so I called and spoke with him. When I talked to him he refused to change the obituary back to the way I submitted including the person they removed. As I told the editor, I can see changing any misspelling I may have done but to completely change what was submitted by removing an aunt of mine from the obituary just because my so called uncle (Sierra Realty owner) does not like her is wrong. The editor then informed me that I would have to talk with my \uncle\ to get the Obituary I submitted changed back. I submitted the obituary for my grandfather it should have never been changed without MY permission, if my so called uncle (Sierra Realty Owner) wanted to submit his own writen obituary he had since October to do so but it wasnt his priority but once I submitted the obituary for my grandfather and it wasn't to his liking he changed it. It saddens me that the Herald News refused to fix their error and put my aunt back into my grandfather's obituary. Since they refused to do the right thing I asked them to remove the obituary completely. Be careful when using the Herald News for obituaries anyone obviously can call and completely change what you submitted and you the submitter can't get it changed back. It is very sad that they did this to my family especially during this time.

A real help to the community. They won't even give a description of Race when reporting crimes. They don't investigate local politicians when they are up to no good.
