I recommend you avoid purchases with this pawn shop.
I'm disappoint and feel deceived.
On October 02, 2019, ten minutes before Mr. Pawn closed, I found an ad posted by Mr. Pawn on Craigslist for a Yamaha A-S1100. The price was AMAZING (half of the retail price listed on Yamaha's website). Over the phone, the owner and I worked a deal, and he asked his crew of two to stay a little late, so I could buy the Integrated amplifier that evening.
I bought the amp. I was told I had thirty days to return it if I was not happy. This, of course, made me feel good about the deal, because I did not know if this amplifier would work well with my speakers, and room acoustics. I was reassured about 3 - 4 times before leaving that I could get a refund, if I returned within 30 days. Today, the writing of this review, is 15 days.
I tried real hard to love the Yammie, but the vocals seem shallow and distant compared to my other equipment. I decided I did not enjoy the sound as I did with my other equipment.
Today, 15 days later, I called the shop and the phone was given to the owner. The owner literally stuttered through his refusal to refund me the money, yet he said he was willing to give me a store credit, or he would take the amplifier back and, when it sold, he would give me the money. I wanted my money. I politely, and it was difficult being polite, declined his offer, and told him I would sell the amplifier on my own. I no longer trusted him, nor did I trust Mr. Pawn.
See the deception? I will NEVER buy anything from this pawn shop, nor will I ever shop at another Mr. Pawn. Every negative prejudice I have heard was confirmed by this pawn shop.
I highly recommend if you plan to do business with this pawn shop, do so cautiously, or not at all.
Thank you for reading.
