It's hard to find words to describe this place. I've been wanting to go here for probably about 30 years and finally made it! The hikes are pretty easy in difficulty, great place to bring kids as long as they can walk, I don't think strollers are allowed but I wouldn't recommend them. The old growth trees and forest is insane! These trees are several milena old and a few hundred feet tall! Most of the trees are covered in mosses and lichens to the point that there is no bark showing. Great photo opportunities! There is two loop hikes and even if you take a very leisurely stroll, you can finish the hikes in a few hours total. I recommend coming on a week day or very early otherwise you may not get a parking spot. 30 entrance fee for a whole car full of people. You must wear a mask to use the restrooms or enter the visitor center.

HOLY COW! Just dripping in moss. This rainforest is so cool and magical and fun to walk around in. Feel like you’re inside a child’s storybook. No difficult hiking just nature walks and great views.

Perfect time of the year to explore this area. No crowds and lots of available parking! The trails are very muddy and covered with water in certain areas so make sure to wear good boots. This is a rainforest so be prepared to get wet.
