An overall nice place to give birth if you want a hospital birth. But I would strongly advise women to have a either a doula or dedicated family member (in addition to your partner) with you so that you have a strong advocate for yourself. And bring earplugs - the beds are very loud because they're constantly inflating/deflating. I never wanted a hospital birth and still would never go there again unless it was medically necessary - but we made the best of it and received adequate care.

Best Birthing Center EVER! Everyone in the Birth and Delivery Section and the Baby and Mom section including the Reception people: My hat goes off for you! So personable and yet professional. Security is paramount here. Finally, the parking lot spaces for patients and families are the absolutely perfect.

Here is my experience as a wife of a Veteran..most nursing services, especially the civilians, are there only for the paycheck. The care and attention to the patient comes last in their duty. Going to the Starbucks is a higher priority than understanding and caring about the patient and their emotional, physical and medical needs. For 11 years I only went to Ft. Belvoir for my medical needs. Childbirth, Pediatrics, Women's Health, etc. and every clinic I encountered consisted of nurses who did little to listen to my needs and health concerns, took no action to provide me a resolution to my health problems.

Visited here for an appt with Radiology. Huge hospital that's new. Depending on which building you need to go to, there's two separate parking decks. Nice facility & quick entrance to the gate.

My son had to have ankle surgery today. We had a long 4-1/2 hour wait before he was pulled back for surgery. However, the whole team and Dr Ahmed were AMAZING!!! We specifically had one gentleman with us the whole time. His name is Tournour! My son is an introvert and very shy around strangers. He was especially scared to have surgery today. Tournour was so amazing with him! Explained everything and actually got to know my son. He asked about his hobbies, likes/dislikes, what he aspires to be in the future etc. He listened to my son with intent and cracked jokes with him the whole time! My son laughed so much and completely forgot he was having surgery today. My son even asked Tournour to do 10 push-ups for him and he did!! 4-1/2 hours was a long wait but it honestly did not feel long at all because of Tournour! He’s a KEEPER!!!!! Thank you soooo very much!!
