Had an absolutely fantastic experience with the staff, instructors, and students at CuraCore today. If you ever have a chance to volunteer with your dog, I highly recommend it.

Integrative Medicine for veterinarians is key. Learning the scientific basis of acupuncture is best. It changes the way you practice and makes you better at what you already do. Every veterinarian should have this medical acupuncture training!

Though I do my best to avoid superlatives, nothing has had a greater impact on my career - on my role as a veterinarian - than this medical acupuncture course. It has changed my approach to physical examination, surgery, knowledge of anatomy (making me a better if more reluctant surgeon) and the recommendations and the treatments that I offer my patients. I am dumbfounded that myofascial examination was not even mentioned in veterinary school! The sheer amount of information and simultaneous therapy using nothing more than my hands ensure that I - and the way that I practice veterinary medicine and surgery - shall never be the same.

For as long as I remember I've wanted to become a veterinarian. Before I even knew veterinarians existed, I wanted to be an animal doctor. My journey has been long but near completion as I begin my fourth year at CSU's veterinary program. Nothing has slowed my pursuit of becoming a general practitioner but I've hit a lot of resistance from the current culture. I've felt pressured and shamed into thinking that I should not "settle" as a GP and instead strive for more as a specialist. The more I work with specialists the more I resent the idea of becoming one. I find that the connection with patients and caretakers becomes more and more distant with specialization and deviates away from my original dream 20 years ago. Narda and CuraCore has affirmed my stance and given me the support I've craved. Instead of treating an animal with pharmaceuticals found in a book, they promote getting your hands on a patient and connecting. The medical massage program has helped me qualify what kind of doctor I want to be and quantify how to get there. I will take the acupuncture course because that's the direction I want to pursue but highly recommend medical massage for anyone with even a slight curiosity into alternative medicines. It's instantly applicable and rewarding with no investment in any equipment or tools.

I've taken three of the Curacore courses, acupuncture, massage and botanical medicine. All are very informative and well done! Would recommend to anyone interested in integrative and alternate veterinary medicine!

Medical Massage for Animals with Narda Robinson, Rhonda and Sharon was truly amazing. It is challenging on many levels and very rewarding. I feel like I am on the right path to better facilitate healing and comfort in my patients and I am already utilizing new skills. Thank you for a wonderful experience! Cat Carris, BA CVT
