After a really amazing first experience at REI, and great service from the service tech who assisted me, it sucks to have to write one of my first Google review and only give a good company 2 stars. I’m still fuming with the way I was treated by one of their employees. I’m not going to publicly blast the name of this employee online, but if the manager of the store wants to call me, I’d love to give them some honest feedback about my experience. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to the Fort Collins REI anytime soon.

Average outdoor gear store, good selection, quality customer service.
If I could give 0 stars I would! This was the first time I had been into this store and I am not happy. I was harassed 3 times about my mask within 2 minutes of being in the store. One employee even told her coworker to say something to me and follow me around the store while I was in front of her and could hear her. Nobody said hello or welcome. Nobody asked how they could help. They just harassed me about my mask. After the 3rd time I just said never mind I’ll leave and walked out. I will not be going there ever again!
I had the best customer service while shopping for Yakima ski racks yesterday. I tried ordering online and had difficulty. The salesman was awesome. I’m all set for ski season and I get an REI rewards dividend to look forward to. Thank you
