Edward Siegel, M.D.

This “Ft. Collins Historic Landmark” was built in the early 1940’s by local legend, Julian Siegel (1898-1993). Mr. Siegel came to Ft. Collins in 1922 starting his business selling fine dresses and hosiery door-to-door from a suitcase! Known for his his integrity, generosity, community-mindedness and cheerful personality, he wanted “only the best merchandise and service” for his customers. Plans are underway for his son, Ed Siegel, MD, to commemorate his father by using the space to create “one of the finest Formal Tearooms in the U.S.A.”

Old town is a very fun place to visit in a great spot to take visitors. Lots of fun shops and restaurants, and a great variety. My only criticism is there 2 hour parking limit. Doesn't encourage people to spend much time there when they have to move their car after 2 hours.

As a business owner here in Fort Collins, it only helps me when new people visit. Until I became aware of Visit Fort Collins, I never thought much about how these visitors made their way to our town. I now know one way is through Visit Fort Collins. I was introduced to the organization through a tourism class I took (through Visit Fort Collins) -- taught by Autumn Schempp. Autumn is bright and enthusiastic, and not only did she teach all of us in the class more than we ever thought we could know about Fort Collins, but she also helped us understand the role we play in tourism and how to be the best ambassador we can for our town. (Incidentally, I would recommend this class to business owners for sure, but also to anybody who just wants to know more about Fort Collins and the surrounding areas. Really, really valuable class.) I’m thankful for Visit Fort Collins because they do serve to help me as a business owner, but more than that, I love where I live and I think this organization, with great people like Autumn leading the charge, represents how I feel about my community.
