I came for the CWP training course on Saturday before 1 p.m.. I was taken care of right away. The instructions were quite informative. When I walked out maybe 4 to 4 1/2 hours later, I had all the necessary paperwork filled out to send to Tallahassee. The paperwork was the state form filled out correctly, a printed certificate of course completion and a finger print file made by an officer of the law. The only thing I needed was a money order for 97. I went to the post office, Monday morning. Purchased the money order and sent the envelope that is provided by the class instructor as a certified letter. Now the class was 100 and the money order and postage was about 102. So let's say 202 and 5 hours my time it took to send everything. Bottom line is that Bill Boyds Tackle and Gun Shop is the place to go for your concealed weapon permit. I loved the atmosphere. Country setting inside with ample parking. Oh, be sure to follow the instructions on the envelope flapper. I forgot to put a printed copy of the class certificate. I had to tear it open. The Postal clerk taped it up for me. DO NOT send the original. I am going to get a picture frame for it and mount it on my office wall at home. You will have a good time at Bill Boyd's T&GS.

I arrived sometime between 11 am (when they open) and 6:30 pm (when they close) to check out some firearms and may i say they have a variety; everything from glocks to m1 garands. Once i found the brand new gun I was interested in purchasing they let me test fire it in the range to be sure it was the one for me. I came back the next day to shoot with my family one of the many rental firearms they offer and it was only 10 per person per day and 15 for the gun. These prices compared to other places are unbeatable for me. The welcoming employees behind the counter were informative and knew what they were talking about gun wise. I would 10/10 recommend this store to anyone interested in firearms or fishing.

Great People Roy and Theresa. They help everyone and make it easier to learn because they know people need help and guidance yet they let you go at your own pace. Great range-great prices-great hours-great classes to get your CCW. Local folks helping us navigate these times of unknown. They have everything and if not will get it for you. What more would you need to keep your skills up. I go often and practice and it is not fancy but extremely effective. Thanks that they are there. Makes Fort Lauderdale even better.

I took my concealed weapons class here and was very impressed with the extensive knowledge of the instructor. I was guided as to which gun to purchase. I take lessons here and will continue. They treat you like family! I drive from Coconut Creek ... but they are well worth the drive!

Purchased my Ruger Ar 556 from this shop and the price was unbeatable. Roy and Stephanie are great people and very knowledgeable. If you look up \man\ in the dictionary you will find a picture of Roy.
