Absolutely lovely park with tones of things to do and see. People all around enjoying the park and the outdoors. If you have an hour or half a day to kill, check it out. Well worth it if you are in the city.

A secret place and a brief glimpse into what Florida must have been prior to runaway development. This little slice of natural history is, sadly, surrounded by water that is quite polluted with plastic and trash, which has washed into the park. It’s too bad the community doesn’t come together to figure out how to keep their parks and waterways free from pollution. Multi-million dollar homes and yachts encircle this park yet this little oasis for nature and animals is impoverished and neglected.

I personally loved this preserve, parking available, small and with unique fauna and Flora and a walkway along the waterways. Anyone visiting ft Lauderdale in need of an interesting few hours, this is well worth it. There is seating available and a thatched area with a \table\ area that could be used for a picnic. Highly recommend.
