The New River Inn/History Fort Lauderdale is an incredible Time Capsule. Looking into the early 1900s is so interesting and cool! This is a fun, educational experience with revelations about our Town that I bet you did not know! With 6 Talented Local Artists on the 3rd Floor, that is the Cherry-on-the-Sundae! Affordable, eclectic Art can be purchased as souvenirs or for fun! Also, fun inexpensive Kid Stuff, in the Lobby for sale. Besides housing the City's 1st Bathtub, this was the Crown Jewel of Fort Lauderdale from 1909 to 1955! This is a mandatory spot to see if your a local and a sweet discovery as a Tourist!

Stopped by rather randomly. Was interesting and had some good history and artifacts. Worth the stop but either plan an hour for a guided tour or less for self guided walk through.

What a jewel in Fort Lauderdale. We took the 1pm tour. Our tour guide was excellent. She has lived in the area all her life and was very knowledgeable of the history. There is a small fee worth every penny.

The urban lights at History Fort Lauderdale is free to view, you can either walk to it via main street or cut through History Fort Lauderdale. I prefer to see it at night with the lights on, it is much nicer in my opinion. During the day it is obviously not on and can be a little busier with smaller children.

Great landmark to visit late at night for a date. Took my girl here twice around 1am and it was beautiful not many people and security keeps bums away so thats a plus.
