No clue why people get so excited over this place. Food is just okay, service is fair at best. They also break a cardinal service rule for me, where food runners have no idea what people at the table ordered. Only ever come here with my in-laws, who insist on having Cuban food on certain occasions. On one of those recent occasions we wanted to pick up food to take to the in-laws. We called in the morning but were told to call 20 minutes before pickup since it was a small order. When we did call back later as instructed, we were in the process of giving someone an order and were put on hold...FOR 30 MINUTES!!!! The only reason this didn't go on longer was because we came to place the order in person and ended the call. While waiting for our food to be made, we observed multiple phones ringing nonstop but nobody answering them, not once! I would have placed my order online, but I have ZERO confidence that it would have been received. I worked in this business for many years. I'd have loved having the luxury of not caring at all about customer service. Frankly I'm shocked they're still in business. After this experience I've decided it's not worth the effort or the calories and will direct my family to other options that seem to actually care about their business.

Place was good. Service was attentive and friendly. The beer was cold and it had decent music in the background.
Great food with excellent service. Masks worn and social distancing followed. I do pick and the order is perfect everytime!
Monday special...bad. They serve pork which has been warmed over and over. Greasy taste in plantains. This place is not as good as it used to be. There are giving old, leftover food for the Monday night special.
