I visited the recreation area from 11 AM - 2 PM on December 16, 2020. It was very quiet, perhaps only 5-6 people total in the area with a mere three of those venturing into the Spring. The water was especially clear and, as always, 72 degrees Fahrenheit. Due to the day being somewhat cool (high 60s), the water was actually comparatively comfortable. In regard to flora, the majestic oaks, magnificent magnolias, prolific pines, and pervasive palms are all well-manicured, and in regard to wildlife, terrestrial-fauna consisted primarily of squirrels while aquatic-fauna consisted of a plenitude of large blue crabs, sizeable suckerfishes, bream, and more. It was a splendid adventure, and I shall return.

What a great place to spend a day or weekend with family and friends. Super clean, lots of tables with bbq grill to choose from. Water super clean and cold. Can't wait to come back with our family and friends.

Great Campground, friendly staff and hosts. Grounds are very well kept and maintained. When a camper leaves a site one of the hosts comes along and blows the leaves off of the site.

Great place to camp and cool off during the hot Florida summer. Super cool springs, bring a mask so you can see. Shallow areas for little kids to stand and swim, bring water shoes for the slippery rocks near the spring head. Great way to spend the day. Shady areas for those who don't want to brave the chilly, and it IS chilly, waters. We were cooled off the rest of the day from it. Invigorating! Plus cool old oaks and nice changing rooms. Crowded on the weekends.

The camping was great. I have to say it was nice to see the facility being disinfected after each camper pulled off site. The worker sprayed the tables and anything that people might touch. I was impressed. I however did no swim in the spring... it was a bit to crowded for me. But we did enjoy the fishing area....everything is very well maintained.
