It is the Thomas Family Cemetery and includes the body of two Confederate soldiers (brothers) who where in the 53rd NC INF REG. Also there is the wife and child of one of the brothers. From the corner of the street you can see that there is ( falling apart ) wooden enter way and fence (collapsing) around the head stones . There is heavy plant growth that makes the cemetery invisible to cars and people who may go by. You could say that is on purpose to hide the Confederate head stones....but I don't think so. I would suspect that this little triangle piece of land is in private hands...as the head stones are in good shape and this is no over growth inside the fence. The history of the soldiers can be traced and is interesting. These tow may have even fought at Gettysburg. This every so small cemetery is a slice of American History. Where two brother are that gave all they were and all they were going to be

I have traced the two soldiers buried in the grave yard. The cemetery is in disrepair as the city and builder who purchased the area around it have ignored it.
Very old. Not well maintained. Hard to find.
