Awesome place to take a stroll. Site has some pretty cool rock remains to the left and to the right is an awesome trail that takes you to Bear mountain park and Zoo. Views are incredible. It's a bit kid friendly but has some dangerous hills so need to keep them close. Besides that very nice. Word of advice parking lot packs up super fast in weekend's. If your not there by 9 am look to park elsewhere. ;)

Nice place. Love it️️Relaxing, hiking parts. Just need more buses, more stores, restaurants to people can enjoy more. Excellent place.
If you are around, make sure to go for a short hike from the bridge to the bear mountain toll entrance and back via the highway crossing another bridge. Total 3 bridges in a span of 30 mins.
The perfect start to a nice long hike. Park down the road, not in the Fort Montgomery lot. There is a hiker lot just before the bridge. Walk over the bridge to the trail head and make sure you have water and enjoy the scramble up to the memorial on top. Make sure you take it slow on the rocks, and carry a rock up to add to the memorial if you know a fallen hero
Showed up on the 241st Anniversary and there was plenty going on! So glad that they are doing such a great job with preserving this history for future generations. A great time was had, images were captured and my only disappointment was the fact they had NO t-shirts and the gift shop didn't have as much personalized for this individual site.
