A skilled family therapist like Dr. DeYoung can do more than treat a patient’s current situation. Using his long track record of experience in the clinical setting, Dr. DeYoung has the skills to assess a patient and develop a reasonable plan for that patient’s future needs. Our law firm hired Dr. DeYoung to work with a teenage victim of sexual abuse by her grandfather. This was a challenging task because a severe speech impediment made it difficult for the child to explain her feelings—literally and figuratively robbing her of her voice. Dr. DeYoung’s careful and caring work with the child helped her explain her thoughts, her hopes, and her fears.
