It has been a nightmare working with the city of Fort Worth and getting permits approved. I have been all up for getting everything I need to make my projects within the city code but every time I finished clearing one issue up another one came up... Example would be applying for a permit and getting a response to have more supporting details. I get the more details and submit it, then they come back and say incorrect permit was submitted a week later (why wasn't I notified the first time????) This is only one example out many. Every time I call (if they answer), the person answering the phone is clueless about the questions I'm asking. I then schedule an appointment to review my plans, (they make sure I understand I am around my phone and to be ready to answer) I was scheduled for 4 PM this afternoon and it is now 4:50 and have been on hold for 10 minutes since they are trying to figure out my \appointment\ the line then dropped and I guess its 5 PM. (time for them to go home..) Not good for business guys! Very disappointed. Absolute nightmare...

WORTHLESS! 0 stars should be an option. 48 hour review time turned out to be a week, only after I called and made them do their job. Online system is pathetic with numerous glitches and city employees can't even comprehend what they are reading or use any common sense. Your tax dollars hard at work.

If I could give them no stars I would. For being public servants, it sure is difficult to get ahold of them. Good luck waiting hours on the phone and waiting days for a response to your email (at times to no avail). They’ll take your money like a heartbeat, guide you down the wrong path and then when it comes to them doing their part, don’t expect too much. All of my issues could’ve been resolved by means of simple communication, lack there of results in the circus show you’ll experience. What deems p & d so essential that all other places are open and available in person but them during this pandemic. Health department, courts, dmv, schools everything is open for in person visits but them.

I called and spoke with Candace. She was so informative and helpful! She answered all of my questions, and gave me the Why behind the answers and also walked me through some resources that were available to me.

this place is an absolute joke your typical tax payer paid salary customer service is what you will get. no one answers the phones calls you back or even have voice mail boxes set up so that they can avoid calling you back.i sat on hold with the inspections dept for an hour and 45 minutes and when i got tired of waiting and pressed 0 to leave a message a recording came on and said sorry that voice mail box is full good bye.they are all high and mighty with their do as i say attitude and dont hold themselves to the same standards
