Kids loved looking at all the fish!

Went in to the hatchery to get local fishing information and to have a look around. They were busy with fish. One of the employees is fairly new and doesn't know much about the area. The other gentleman I spoke with was knowledgeable about the area but gave very little information. He seemed to be to busy for a local fisherman in need of assistance. He suggested a few areas where fish had been stocked recently then said he had to get back to work. I left with no more information than I could get from the stocking report. I was disappointed at the effort that I made to receive little information and no invitation to take a tour of the facility. I realize that they are busy but if tours are offered on a daily basis they should have someone available to give them and answer questions. They should also have a knowledgeable person available to answer a license paying fisherman's questions. I gave them 3 stars because shortly after they opened this new hatchery I took my son in and was given a full tour and a plethora of information about fish and their process. Was very pleased on this first visit. My last visit left me feeling like an intrusion an outsider. The facility is clean and well kept and has some interesting trophies on the wall to give it an outdoorsy feel. They do need a sign pointing to the point of entry to the office area as it's confusing from the parking area. If you want a tour or other information you may have to ask/plead for it.
Its fun to see the different kinds of fish and their age groups. I also enjoy learning about the different facts
We have taken tours there multiple times and done a church service project. The employees are super friendly and the facility was immaculate. Everyone we take there is always impressed!
