Was over at The store on Valentine’s Day this week and needed to get some hiking boots. They were a few people that helped me and I forget their names but the one who stood out the most was Oliver. Such a great guy, was so patient and took the time to explain about the different types of boots and what fit my needs best. He got out so many different pairs of boots for me to try on and was so patient about it. You can tell he was a really nice guy and this is exactly what I was looking for because I really needed the help as I’ve never bought a pair of hiking boots before.

It’s wild, for an alleged mecca of outdoor sport supplies and apparel, they have no dedicated biking/running sweatbands. They had these oddly colored rags that are nothing at all like a traditional headband. The prices are terrible and the employees just kind of linger around not helping or greeting you. I think REI just sort of coasts off of this undeserved reputation, somehow, and doesn’t offer much in terms of proper selection or service.
Fantastic company! The Framingham location has especially helpful staff members. I have had all kinds of work done to different types of ski equipment and the guys have always proven to not only be knowledgeable, be also patient with my occasional special request for binding mounts etc. Rei has my highest level of recommendation and appreciation.
I love REI and being a co-op member. The products are great quality. Went in person since my husband needed to get new hiking boots. Great selection and several were on sale. I was able to pick up other holiday gifts as well!They did a great job with making sure everything was socially distant. I felt safe shopping there!
Nice clean store, friendly employees who want to help. Not as much in the store as on the website but websites will always have more.
