I initially called this office on February 11,2021 to ensure that they took my insurance before I requested a referral from my primary care office. When I initially called the woman on the phone advised me I needed a referral. I explained to her that I knew that but wanted to confirm my insurance with them which I did. On February 12th my primary care office submitted a referral to them. Sometime last week I called to advise them that I had not yet received a call for an appointment from their referral coordinator, at which time i was advised by the person on the phone that this process by the referral coordinator could take 2 weeks and then the doctor would have to review my doctor's findings (in other words decide if he wanted to take me on as a patient, whether i was worthy or not, at least that what it sounded like to me) and then after all that i would receive a call for an appointment. This morning I decided to call yet again so as not to continue to waste my time waiting for a possible appointment I may not even get and my call went straight to a voicemail with not even a complete greeting! Think I'm done waiting around and am going to search elsewhere, especially since my primary care diagnosed me with pulmonary fibrosis and as I've been told the sooner you treat this the better. Everyday I get shorter and shorter of breath! Thanks Advent Health Pulmonary group, for leaving me breathless (pun intended)

BLITHERING IDIOT on the phone. This place is listed as an \ Emergency Care\ facility. BUT. you need a eferral\ according to the vacuous voice that is in charge of scheduling... BUT. You can COME IN and \SELF REFERR\. BUT they are BOOKING 6 WEEKS OUT. MAYBE the doctor will read the \ self referral\ and decide it is an emergency. Then they will call you and make an appointment. The amount of DEAD AIR with every question I asked was unnerving to say the least. This is your first face to the public, it pays to get knowledgeable help. Tell me... what is the point of calling yourself an emergency care doctor if your your employees don't know the definition of EMERGENCY CARE?

My Mom just passed recently, but a Facebook post popped up today that I wrote after one of her appointments with Dr. Montoya. I remember that day, and hope that this message will find it's way to the doctor: If you ever feel like you don't make a difference... I took my mom to the Pulmonologist yesterday. My mom is 85, blind, and lives in a nursing home. Many days she just wants to die, to be with her husband, of 66 years, again. She gets extra depressed on weekends because the staff is a little less friendly and attentive. She wasn't in a great mood when we first headed out and, frankly, neither was I. The doctor was so pleasant, and patient. He joked with her, talked to her, listened to her. He told her, when we were leaving, how much he enjoyed her company. And he meant it. She was in a FANTASTIC mood for the rest of the day. I felt so much better too. My patience and caring for other people increased for the rest of the day (and beyond) because I was influenced by this small act of kindness. This man may not even realize that he did anything remarkable. Thank you Dr. Frank Montoya

I have been a patient of Dr. Montoya for years. His staff always make you feel welcome. Wait time are under 15 minutes. I am usually in and out in 30 minutes. He always comes in the room with a smile and seems to encourage me in a positive way, and somewhere within the visit throws a compliment my way. Of you are in need of a great pulmanologist, I highly recommend Dr.Montoya.
