My son was really excited to go here. They had a large array of gemstones as well as an area to sift for germs or pan for good. He thoroughly enjoyed it! He brought back bags of dirt to pan at home as well. Prices were very reasonable. He found actual hold when he planned it at home!!

Had Sooooo much fun here panning for gold... Didn’t Find Any Gold But... I Found PIECES!!! Gems: Rubies. Emeralds. Sapphires. Quartz. Garnet Other Gooooodies... I WILL BE calling my jeweler for some PIECES!!! I also had the honor of taking a picture of & with the Moonshiners Legend, Marvin “Popcorn” Sutton, RIP, from the show Moonshiners. I had goose bumps because I watch the show... Pay 25.00 for a small bucket of dirt or Pay 50.00 for a large bucket of dirt & Shake Away Panning For GOOOODIES!!! Just Like The Gold Miners Of Back When... An Nice Experience For Anyone Who Likes The Show, Interested In Such or Passing By... Turn Around... Carefully...
I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. It's now a tradition we have to come and gem mine before going home. The owner Kurt is such a wonderful guy. Love hearing his stories reminds me of my grandpa. I continue to come here because they are like family and what fun it is to look for gems. The best place to find gems that I know of. They also appraise and cut the gems there if you would like them to and they make/sell jewelry with the gems.
I was here today for the first time. I wanted to say it's an absolutely amazing place. The owner and the employees were wonderful and very helpful. The prices are great! They also have some amazing jewelry. They have a variety of minerals and gems. Theu will explain to you everything you find and will show you what those types of gems look like when they are cut. The place is really easy to find and off of a main road. It is very family friendly and you can pan for gold and gems inside which is very helpful during winter months. I will definitely come back here again soon.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff with great personal service. You will learn a ton, while having a great time planning for gold or mining for precious and semiprecious gems. Carl and Nick were amazing! Would recommend for families or couples. Dog friendly. Lovely shop with cut and set gems by local family. They make it fun and educational with very comfortable facilities. You can have your finds expertly cut and set also, for a reasonable price.
