If you want the full experience of the Steens wilderness, you have to stay here. The cabins are awesome and they are constantly upgrading the facilities and grounds. This is the best spot for your base camp when exploring the surrounding area. You won’t be disappointed!

Nice quiet place for a getaway. The cabin we stayed in was clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

Beautiful and quiet! It's very clean and well managed. Mark was kind and friendly and made us feel welcome. Be prepared for some mosquitoes, but that's to be expected! Lots of birds, jackrabbits etc. Very nice place and we'll definitely be back. Don't listen to the complaining here. Some people are only a victim of their decisions.

We love staying at Steens Mountain Wilderness Resort as it's right at the southern end of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and I'm done with camping. Page Springs Campground is right next door so you can open the door and hear the Yellow-breasted Chats in season right there! We've stayed with Mark & Debbie Webb some six or seven years since they bought the place. Nothing fancy but beats camping hands down! It's the location that can't be beat and the views of most of the units is fantastic!

Glad we came here for a few days and wish we would have stayed longer! Friendly staff, laundry room available so we were able to do a few loads in the middle of our trip, clean bathrooms and showers. we will stay again for sure.

We were very impressed with the general store, laundry, shower/restroom facilities. It’s obvious that a great deal of work went into these facilities and in their daily care. Owners are great. Lots to do around this area: biking, fishing, exploring, getting back to nature, and experiencing the outback.

Absolutely breathtaking in it's expanse and beauty. Grab a map and follow the loop. Download the auto tour guide, or follow the signs. Look for all sorts of birds and wildlife along the way including antelope, deer, wild horses, bald eagles, coyotes, pheasants and more! There are a few places to stop for restrooms and food. Plenty of paved trails, and gorgeous overlooks. You can easily spend two full days here without running put of things to do.
