I toured by myself a couple of months ago. Excellent number of machines are new but a couple of weight stack pins and seat pins are missing. Showers and locker room look a little dirty so I will go home to shower. No towels to wipe down machines and only one paper towel dispenser for that. Not air conditioned anytime. Cold winter, hot summer. I am going to join for the pool so hope they fill it in May as promised. I can lift weights in a cold weight room Winters, no problem. 11.13.18.

It’s hard to rate this place. If I was to rate it compared to what it used to be, I’d give it a one-star review. For what it is now, 3 stars seems fair based upon the cheap prices. I toured it today with the intention of rejoining to play racquetball, but left shocked. All of the things this once premier sports club had going for it that made it stand out from the likes of GB3, are gone. The steam room is shut down. The sauna is shut down. The jacuzzi is drained and out of service. The outdoor pool is drained and out of service. The racquetball courts are looking worn, and many of them are being used as boxing gyms. Half the tennis courts have been replaced by a parking lot. I used to pay 6x what the current membership rate is, and would easily pay that (and more) again to see this place return as one of the few real sports gyms in Fresno. Instead, it’s become clear the corporation that took over this place was more interested in the real estate than improving the place. It’s a shadow of its former self, which is sad to see. In fact, the truth is, it now looks like a cheap version of GB3, rather than a heralded sports facility. I wish someone with some sense of pride of ownership would take this place over and return it to what it was. It was amazing. And there are many people like me who would spend a lot of money to be members again. Instead, it’s just become another run of the mill gym, easily beaten by the likes of GB3 and Planet Fitness. Very sad.

I love this place. The staff is great. The weight room, unlike every other gym I've been to, is never crowded. The facilities are old but it has a great feel.

My husband and I have had such great experiences with the staff at Sierra Athletic Club.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Annoying gym cleaners getting in your way while working out. Managers are a bunch of lying scum (especially Kevin and Charles). Also the parking lot is in the ghetto and has no security when the lot gets full (which is always). TERRIBLE GYM. Even GB3 was better than this place (and that's saying a lot).

It's way outdated. The equipment is so old it's not funny. Not enough parking space so people are parking across the street. It's terrible.

I have not been here yet but I was quoted 10 per person to play racquetball which seems a bit steep.
