Cooking class for YCA is amazing for our jr chef. While they dont remember much after they are all done at the end of each class,it is the experience that matters. He has always been fascinated with cooking ever since he was little and has been helping make things from scratch at homw. This class just helps him see others his age have the same interest and making things from scratch in all varieties and genres can be exciting. Classes have different focus each month, which allows them to learn new kitchen tools and food making process.
I don't want to write a poor review of a local business but our experience was not good. We had a cooking class birthday here for our 5 year old and his friends. My wife and sister were poorly treated while setting up some birthday decorations before the kids came in which the owner was unapologetic about. The two young women who put on the class were not very good with the kids. The children did very little hands on activity for what I assumed would be a hands on experience. In addition to our lousy experience the pricing is much too high for what it is (especially the add on charge for a couple of extra kids showing up which cost them all of about 4 in extra ingredients for the lackluster little pizzas they sort of made). I hope this business can make a go of it but I definitely cannot recommend it for a children's party.
The staff is so patient with the kids..they make cooking fun and exciting.
