Perfect spot for sunset views and whale watching. We were lucky enough to see humpback whales here. A short walk from the viewing area to the lighthouse. There is a tally/whiteboard inside the light house that you can look through to see what whales were recently seen.

Stunning views and a short drive from Friday Harbor. We could not spot any orcas but the short walk inside the park was great.
We were here for the centennial celebration of the Lime Kiln Lighthouse. There were vendors and information booths plus live music and cake. The lighthouse was open for tours so we got to go to the top of the lighthouse. The vistas were beautiful and we got to learn the history of the area from a guide at the top of the lighthouse. The park is the perfect place to have a picnic and watch the sunset. Plenty of hiking trails and ample parking near the interpretive center. We were also treated to the Free Tea bus offering Free tea and conversation. He travels around the country and encourages conversation in his converted bus.
Very nice place to visit while on the San Juan Islands.
Always a great place to visit. Staff is always helpful, volunteers are knowledgeable of the local flora and fauna.
