We couldn't have asked for a better excellent experience. Wyatt was our guide for a 3-hour kayak tour in early September - he was knowledgable, entertaining and professional. We enjoyed our time with him and learned about the history of the islands and its wildlife. During our trip, we were fortunate to see several animals, including porpoises, which we know is a very rare experience for kayakers. Highly recommend this experience for anyone wanting to see and experience the most incredible views and the best of what Washington has to offer. Ask for Wyatt! We'll for sure go back next time we're visiting the islands.

This was my first sea kayaking voyage, and my first time camping on a boat-in only island. Such a magical experience. I was pretty nervous when we first started, but the instruction, assistance and pace made for an enjoyable and safe three day trip. We saw all kinds of sea critters, including a frisky family of six otters! I'm definitely going on a trip with them again next summer.
We live in Friday Harbor and wanted to get our family out on the water to enjoy our amazing surroundings. Our guide, Ferrell was knowledgeable, very laid back, professional and made an amazing trip even more interesting. The equipment was excellent and the entire experience of booking/scheduling to wrapping up our tour was effortless. If you're looking for great guides and a literally world class experience in an incomparable setting then support this great locally owned company.
Very knowledgeable guides and a great all-around business. I've been working with this company since they started back around 2007, and I've always had a good experience. SJO offers private kayaking tours as well as whale watching trips and even overnight camping on a small island with full logistical support!
