This is by far the best counseling program our adolescent child has participated in. The group and family sessions are all fantastic. The Access team is wonderful and caring. We have been in search of a place for our daughter to find help and we have found that at Access. This is the only program we know of that has their own 24/7 crisis help line that is answered by their own staff. From our family's perspective there is no better counseling group in the Frisco/Plano area for adolescents in crisis or suffering from depression.

I CAN NOT recommend this place -- not AT ALL. To begin with, their insurance billing was a nightmare. They messed up and incorrectly billed insurance resulting in thousands of dollars of declined coverage charges, out of pocket charges, and months of untangling the mess they made with insurance. Second, their culture is not one of respect. The therapists and leaders do not conduct group meetings with even a modicum of decorum, allowing yelling, cursing, name calling, vulgarity, and a glorification and elevation of substance abuse. Patients are allowed to 'one up' each other and the therapists / counselors contribute to the inappropriate language, name calling and tone. Finally, given they do not properly set a proper tone in the meetings, patients are randomly called out and receive punishment for behaviors that were previously accepted -- leaving patients and parents confused as to what is and is not appropriate. In our opinion, it seemed that IOP was only interested in prolonging the treatment plan to maximize revenue vs healing the individual. I would not recommend Access IOP to anyone.

When I first met Irene, I thought there was no hope for me. I was in such a deep state of depression that I didn't think I could ever crawl out. She gave me HOPE. She refused to let me fail. No therapist is perfect, but she is the first one I have had that has started dealing with me in one way, then tried something new when the first way wasn't working. Of course, I had to learn to listen and follow suggestions that were hard, but since I finally had HOPE, and was finally out living life again, accepting the change she offered became much easier. I definitely did my part to get better and with her as my cheerleader, I am starting to find true, happy self again. I kinda feel like I should give myself 5 stars too. :)

The best there is! I was there at 17 and got the best treatment out there. I was treated with the utmost respect. I learned so much in my group sessions! The therapists there really know their stuff! I have and will never have a bad thing to say about this place as they brought my family and I closer together—and so much more!

Sending your child to get help is scary. The unknown is the worst. However, this place is all about your child and what is best for him/her. Individual attention is amazing and I'm grateful for every minute for one on one and group. The parent knowledge group is extremely helpful as well. Seeing the highly educated staff really caring about your loved one's progress is just priceless.
