I am writing to express my extreme displeasure in both the summer camp program as well as the director's response to my concerns as a parent. My child was under their supervision and care where he sustained three, alleged unknown injuries in a three-hour time-frame. Their program came highly recommended to us. The director's lack of empathy and overall lack of professionalism to my concerns as a parent was truly unacceptable. They expressed no sense of urgency or concern to our situation. The lack of supervision while my child was under their care is intolerable. The fact that my child could sustain three different injuries on three parts of his body without either classroom teacher taking notice or being aware of it is deplorable. I was an investigator for five years where I investigated abuse and neglect cases for both Adult Protective Services as well as Child Protective Services. Therefore, I am very knowledgeable both personally as a parent and professionally about the various degrees of marks and injuries that a child can sustain intentionally or accidentally, by peer or by an adult. I got the strong impression from the director that she was minimizing the situation and my concerns as a parent. Whether I was coming to her as an overprotective parent or as a professional, her reaction and response should’ve been the same considering that that she is the director of Friends IN Christ Preschool & Kindergarten Summer Camp at First Frisco United Methodist Church. I withdrew my son from their program effective immediately. I do not recommend Friends IN Christ Preschool & Kindergarten Summer Camp, Friends IN Christ Preschool & Kindergarten or First Frisco United Methodist church in the future.

Great 9:30 contemporary service. Small local church feel with lots of children’s programming!

Big church that feels small. This church has been apart of this community for close to a century. They cherish their roots and embrace their future. There are two services that reflect this. The 9:30am service is more modern, relaxed and family friendly. The 11:30am is more traditional. With a choir over a band and robes for everyone. I have been to both and love them equally, but I can be found and the earliest service more often. The pastor's take the time to learn everyone's names and actually listen to problems. They take a interest in everyone's life and well being. I've been on the receiving end of the churches at home ministry and helping food network. These people are a blessing to know and to be apart of this church family is a great honor.
