My dilemma is my divorce. Due to my divorce method of choice I wasn't prepared for my scheduled divorce hearing I wasn't prepared to argue my case so the judge said you need to reschedule and hung up via virtual. I received a notice that I had missed my reschedule court date, however I never received a new court date or time. I called family court and they told me I had been notified by the judge on the date I appeared...no I wasn't. I was told I was sent an email via a certain and no email was received either in spam folder or regular inbox. Now I have to start over and pay more money in an issue that is me versus the court.

Is there a reason why family court turns into a money scam involving kids. Lawyer wants a least 2500 to start. The Gaurdian ad wants 2000 to start. The the Gaurdiian ad sends another bill for 1800 more .The Gaurdian ad or the parents lawyer haven't done a whole of anything .Now the Gaurdian ad only get pictures of one parents home not the other .The male parent doesn't obey the court order by keeping the child from the other parent for over a month .The male parent doesn't inform the mother of doctor visits, he makes threats, the child constantly has love, lives in house with dog poop everywhere .She tells her lawyer and he said let's be courteous and fax something to his lawyer in stead of taking out contempt charges .This is the biggest money racket with no one caring about these kids .I will look in to federal level to see what can be changed in these cases.
