What a beautiful place it is. I have never been to such a huge garden center before. They have an amazing plant collection and great customer service. You would find healthy plants here and unlimited plant related items like planters, watering cans and pipes and bird baths etc. would definitely visit again for my indoor and outdoor plants.

One of the very best garden centres I’ve ever been to. The selection is truly outstanding, the best I’ve seen, and it’s always clean and the staff are always friendly. If you’re looking for a good houseplant, a good tree for your yard, or any other perennial or annual for your garden, this is the place for you. They also have many different types of mulch, landscaping rocks and statues, and other elements that are part of a garden. I haven’t used any of their services, but I have heard good things. The inside includes a cafe with some home furnishings, wines, and jams of sorts. I debated giving five stars vs. four, but being in horticulture myself and seeing many of the other reviews, I will say that prices tend to lean a bit towards the expensive side with many things here. I understand that they have to make money, and I’m unsure if the size of Merrifield Gardens is why they charge so much, but I know I’ve decided not to buy many things because I feel like they’re overpriced. They say they’re competitively priced, and not taking into account Home Depot and Walmart who can keep their prices very low, I haven’t seen another garden centre who’s prices are really overall close to theirs. Some plants that are sold that were purchased from other nurseries such as lemon trees from FL, had the same price across multiple nurseries in the area. That being said, it helps to be somewhat aware of what a good deal on certain types of plants are before going in. Even so, definitely worth a visit anytime of the year, because the selection is second to none.
