I have ordered from Hearty’s a few times before and they never failed me. Always got my order correct and their food is ALWAYS good. This is the place to go. I usually order my usual from them which is the Orange chicken and General Tso’s chicken, but this time I order their curry beef, general tso’s chicken, and beef and cheese, and crab wontons. I don’t have much to say about Hearty’s because they are always consistent with their foods! Thanks Hearty’s :D

BEWARE!!! Found a bug In my hot and soup soup... I wanted a refund on my meal.... was given two dollars for the soup..... been feeling sick all day BEWARE!!! You would think because of COVID things would be extra clean but I guess not here! Been going here for MANY MANY YEARS... never again now though... not a small bug either!
I want to like this place. A lot of their food is quite good. But every order I've made had something missing or wrong. Most recently I ordered chow mein (aka fried noodles). I was given beef with shredded onion in gravy (it was bad). When I called and described the dish, they said it was chow mein and the chef was just trying out a new recipe. Seems pretty radical to leave noodles out of chow mein. (No refund/replacement was offered.)

The restaurant looks new and very clean. I have known the chef for many years. He is an expert on traditional Chinese Sichuan Cuisine. He had had his own small restaurant for many years in Rockville but had to sold it due to the rising cost. He prefers to be hired as a chef so that he is able to focus on cooking. If you like spicy Chinese food, it is a must-go restaurant for sure. There is variety of non-spicy food available as well. The Chinese Hamburger (not spicy), spicy beef (in soup), spicy fish (in soup), fish flavored eggplant, stir-fried cabbage, stir-fried lamb or beef, shredded pork and dried tofu, bite size fried chicken... are my favorites! I know my favorite list seems too long. But it is the truth. I went there yesterday with a party of 15 so that I had an opportunity to taste a lot of food. And I am so glad to see some of my favorite dishes on the table.
