I found mums and pansies on sale and in great condition today at Home Depot's garden center. It's unusual to find well-tended to floral stock this time of year.
Save yourself a trip and go to a nursery. No one is willingly to help even when asked. I know nothing about plants, I just stopped to pick up what the Mrs wanted and she even gave me the plant tags- no luck and no assistance. Gave up after wandering around for 10 minutes. Person i asked shrugged and pointed to a general area with a " try over there" suggestion. At least she didn't tell me to get lost.....
