I've visited quite a few small town free zoo's before and this one is by far the nicest. Love how you can drive, walk or bicycle. I'm going back later in the spring when more exhibits are open, grasses are greener and flowers are in bloom.

Such an amazing experience! We absolutely loved this zoo! The animals were well taken care of and happy, it was a very enjoyable experience for my family. Highly recommend and will be back.

I am from Seattle and have traveled extensively and i admit i was skeptical about a \world class zoo\ in Garden City, KS, but that is what they have!! The Lee Richardson Zoo is a five diamond zoo, the animals are accessible, well cared for and active. The zoo is easy walking, with plenty of shady places to rest and observe some exotic animals. The signage is bright, colorful and truly informative. I am so impressed, I have gone a dozen times if not just for the walking paths! If you want to see healthy well cared for exotic animals get some fresh air and have a amazing time, come on out! This is a gem of a find in SW KS.

A very nice collection of animals for being a smaller zoo. Will come back during the spring or summer to see it at it peak. Had a joyful experience with the lions. Don't put your fingers in the cages!

I love this zoo. Amazing animals and good if you want exercise while viewing beautiful animals. I, personally, wish they charged like a dollar for entrance with an optional 150 yearly pass. That way it could be better kept up.
