In 1990, this temple was used to be Bao Quang temple , where Venerable Thich Quang Thanh(1951-2019) was the founder of the temple, but in 2002, he chose to build the temple in 713 North Newhope Street in Santa Ana, From 2002 to the present, This temple is now Thien Vien Sung Nghiem. But I really Sung Nghiem Zen center, because it helps a lot of people to open their minds, be awakened, and practice meditation.
