Rooms we stayed in were small compared to other buildings, per friends who's stayed there many times. Everything worked. Pool was open and temp was roughly 89 degrees on a chilly day, so that was great after a day of skiing. Not sure why the hot springs weren't available. Seems it could be operated the same as the pool, with just 1 family at a time. All in all, I'd visit again.

We ate dinner here. The resort is open but the hot springs are not. Reservation was required but made it in w/o one. We ate dinner inside and had desert around the fire outside. Dinner and drinks were delicious and our waitress was great

Great place, 2 bad the Hot Springs pools were closed. Still had a great time

The local staff is and has been great with a capital G. It is the current management, Holiday Inn, that has no concern for owners versus one time renters. One timers get more privileges than owners which makes me want to advise potential buyers not to buy.

The view is amazing. I never wanted to leave.

9/2020 Due to the current Coronavirus scare, and despite the CDC deeming outdoor pools one of the safest places to be due to the fresh air and sun (sterilizing ultraviolet rays), ALL the many outdoor hot tubs were closed despite there being enough for 1 per family with a reservation. Fitness Center was closed, too. No bar on campus, but Genoa has one with outdoor seating at picnic tables. Pool was open with limits on # of people due to Social Distancing requirements (but it still had kids going every which way!). Food at the fancy restaurant was not very good (one dinner was almost inedible). Room had no desk for a laptop or reading, no extra blanket for the cool NV nights, and the lighting was so dim in the bathroom there is no way a lady can do her makeup in there; we had to go by the window and try to juggle a tiny purse mirror and our supplies and brushes. Management & upkeep was not to Resorts West nor Holiday Inn standards, so not sure what is going on. Hopefully it changes soon. Not much to do on property during my 5 night visit, but Historic (tiny) Genoa and Carson City (shopping!) are nearby. Reno and historic hillside mining town Virgina City are about 45 min. north. Good: Room (in Bldg C) has new furniture, comfy sleeper couch & fpl in living room, decent kitchen, large spa tub and a shower in suite bathroom, & lovely peaceful views.

One star down for not being able to access the hot springs, but the resort itself is fantastic! Beautiful and well equipped rooms and some truly gorgeous scenery and views.
