My grand-daughter and daughter rescued me from certain demise in December 2020 after I had plummeted emotionally and physically. They and Garland--specifically \Chase\ (my group therapist) -- saved my life. The accommodating, professional, caring environment of IOP framework made it easier to open up and delve deep into the recesses of my heart and soul---mining the pain and hopelessness I was suffering. I saw hope and light after the very first week of my 8-week program. I recommend this program--this hospital--to anyone suffering emotionally, especially those who have lost all hope. My heartfelt gratitude go out to Chase---my group therapist whose empathy, compassion and competence led me to wellness again; Vanessa---the sweet, caring secretary whose cheery disposition always made me feel welcome; and O---the friendly lady behind the mask who greeted me at the front door each morning with joy and cheerfulness . Thanks to all who lovingly brought me through my crisis into a better, healthier Me.....

I'd give more stars to Garland Behavioral Hospital. Impeccable service with kindness and compassion. Big thanks to all on 4 east. Thank you Georgia, John, Olga, Mark, Dr O, Rosalind, Paul, Barbara, Brittney, Katie, B, Christian and all the rest. They all will work with you to get your medication and get stabilized. If I need any adjustments in the future I'll certainly refer to them again. Keep up the good work, folks. And thank you for being on the front lines during these trying times. I just think it's easy for many to overlook the sacrifices you all must make in order to provide the care you do for others (It's 2020!) and still do your jobs while bringing nothing but clarity and positivity and while still caring for yourself and yours. Take a breath. I noticed and you all are appreciated Edit: I've read the last couple of reviews and I'm serious they sound like the people were in a totally different hospital. GBH is very clean in my experience and there is care taken with the dispensing of medications.

one of my loved ones was here for 8 days and all i have to say is it’s Completely disgusting, staff doesn’t clean ANYTHING the food is barely edible and that’s not the worst part. The staff misdiagnoses, The give the wrong medications, the techs and Nurses make fun of the patients, get recorded on cell phones when they cannot control their anger... some of the techs will instigate fights between patients. If you really want help please do not go here and do not send loved ones here. I am so disappointed that this place is even still open.

This program was very beneficial to me and helped me overcome a lot of the depression and anxiety I’ve a was facing. The staff was amazing and the night iop program gave me a chance to get more individual attention before going to group therapy. I highly suggest This program!!!

I enrolled at Garland Behavioral as an introverted, extremely anxious and overall unhealthy individual. My experience at GBH in the Partial Hospitalization Program has been the most eye opening experience and I greatly appreciate the Therapist Chase with helping me cope and find ways to manage my MDD and Anxiety!
