I went to Merriwood Ranch camp as a kid and could not get enough. It's every little girls dream to spend all day with horses and learning all about them. Horseback riding has taught me hard work, responsibility and teamwork. I still ride at Merriwood a little less than 20 years later and love it just as much as I did as a kid. Mary Beth and Sid are great instructors providing constructive feedback and encouragement. Merriwood cares the utmost for their horses and they are truly some of the best I've ever ridden (and that is hard to find). Merriwood is a great place and I love the barn family atmosphere. If you are even considering sending your daughter (or you) to camp or lessons look no further I promise it will be worth its weight in gold.
The horses were simply majestic and a lot of fun to hang out and go riding with. My friend who brought me learned to ride here as a child and has been coming for over 20 years. It’s been the same staff the whole time, so you can trust that they know what they’re doing. The people are so friendly, the horses are gorgeous, and the facilities are all top of the line. This is a great place for riding, lessons, and kids camps.
My daughter has been going for a few years now and she Loves it. The Staff is extremely professional and knowledgeable and the lessons and summer camps they do are a big hit with girls of all ages. Take your daughter and her friends and you will not regret it.
Beautiful to see horses and jumping by my house. I'm sure one day soon they will sell this land and it'll turn into a neighborhood or a strip mall, but I will enjoy it until then.
