Beautiful place. Lots of snow for cross country skiing. Challenging terrain.

If you are looking for trails less traveled in Central New York, this is the place to be. It is a little hilly, but not too difficult if a path. It feels like you have stepped into an ancient forest and a unicorn could be standing in a clearing right around the next bend. I highly recommend a visit here!
3.4 Yellow trail....snow was perfect. Only saw 3 snowmobiles and 2 x-country skiers.
Great state land reserve. Trails for hiking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing and mountain biking. As part of state forest system, hunting is permitted and productive. Terrain varies with marsh, dense wooded areas, and significant changes in elevation.
Great “roads” to play on with your 4x4. I would not drive a car into the forest even though the trails are considered roads on google maps.
