Blue Park has been a landmark of Georgetown for many years. I used to come here as a young boy with my folks who would take us fishing to pass the time here. As the years moved on, I would come here quite often to \hang out\ with friends from school and the neighborhood. Unfortunately, in recent years, it has become an area where many come to enjoy only to wind up creating havoc. The park has gone through some changes over the years. It was nice to see the city make it a point to clean it up and get the trials finished. The scenery makes for nice pics both in the spring and fall. Look for the \cliffs\ by the dam area and you can have a nice background shot. (If you are into photography). Get on the trail and walk your way back to San Gabriel park either thru VFW park on the south fork or directly through the north fork of the San Gabriel River. The photos are a once in a life time even for some around here. It never really snows that heavy here in Georgetown. The last time I remember it snowing this heavy was around 1985. I knew that Blue Hole park would provide nice photo shots to cherish for years to come.

Awesome little park on the river. Nice trails and picnic areas. Nice little areas for fishing and swimming for both humans and dogs. While the area is very pretty it could use a cleanup. There is allot of trash around the sides of the park and in the water.

Nice park but Google won't get you there on it's own - use El Monumento instead - it's right behind there with lots of parking. I visited in January with the water low but it still looks like a great place to take a walk along the river (though sometimes it's on the street, like a sidewalk.) The walkways connect to the larger South San Gabriel riverwalk. There are lots of picnic areas but the bathrooms are pretty gross. I liked most the Pickett Trail, behind the bathrooms, that goes close along the cliff's edge. It's pretty short (little over half a mile) but with some surprising elevation changes/stairs. I walked up some stairs near the end and walked back on the sidewalk & through the cemetery back down to the park.

River is low this time of year, but nice and cool outside. Leaves are changing, makes it pretty outside. Can easily walk to both sides of the creek

Great park with some trails and paths that are fun for all levels. There is a fair amount of trash and old rusty junk that could be cleaned up, but other than that it’s a fun place for all ages.
