I called because my dog kept barking in the middle of the night which is highly unusual. I checked my yard, didn’t see anything but a few minutes later she was barking furiously again. This went on for just over an hour. So I call the Georgetown Police. The officer who took my call was calm and listened carefully to my need. A car was sent to my home immediately. I’m so grateful to the Georgetown Police Department for keeping us safe 24/7. I appreciate all of their hard work and dedication on behalf of our community. Thank you!

GPD is a community focused department, which shows as we are able to see officers all around town participating in community events at schools, churches, on the square, etc. These officers aim to support citizens as well as protect them. Thank you Chief Nero for all you have done to transform GPD and the City of Georgetown!
Been back and forth trying to get my police report, get a response stating the release of my police report interferes with the investigation. WHAT? That's insane, I filed the police report myself. I've been trying to get this for my insurance claim for over a month!
Called to ask for some information and the lady I talked with was very helpful, friendly, and professional. She answered all my questions with adequate plus information. ️️️
I don’t know you guys but thank you for putting your lives on the line to protect ours and I hope everyone doesn’t just look at some bad cops and think they are all like that because it’s not true, thank you.
