We got lucky enough to find a heated cabin a couple nights over Labor Day weekend at this amazing spot. I was wanted to take my littles camping near the ocean but the weather was too chilly. This cabin and campground was perfect for our little family! Everyone was so friendly and our cabin was super warm and cozy with a view of the ocean and just a quick little walk down to a small sandy beach area. When the tide was down, we were able to explore the bay at low tide and found shells and critters. Our cabin was the most adorable one room arrangement with a little loft that worked as a play area for the kids. At first, I was disappointed as it seemed our cabin was located on the road and near the office but it turned out to not be so busy that cars were a problem and the kids really enjoyed being able to see the dogs and walkers and the owners of the campground working nearby. There was another small cabin that was more remote but we enjoyed our closeness to the activity and friendly people after all. We had a fire at night and there wasn't any traffic really. We walked down to the water in the evening to look at the moon and all the friendly campers said their hellos! It was wonderful. We had delicious cooked lobster delivered to our door and spent an entire day playing at Reid State Park which was amazing and so close by. I really liked that this campground was a little rustic and the owners were kind and hard working people. We will most definitely return to this piece of heaven!

This is what camping should be like. Pat and her husband are friendly and uncomplicated owners. This is a laid back campground without unnecessary rules and policing. Just be respectful and kind to everyone and you’ll fit right in. It was our first time here but whoever we spoke to have been coming there for years and speak highly of their every experience. Tent sites have water and a fire ring and that’s all you we really needed. Although old bathrooms had hot water, paper towels and were kept clean daily. The changing of the tides in the bay were an interesting experience and many people were clamming daily. We’ll definitely go back.

This was probably a great place to come twenty years ago. Now the place is run down and in need of a complete renovation in terms of facilities. The bathrooms are dirty, there is litter on the ground, and the trash at our site was not collected from the night before. A few sites provide seclusion but most are in plain view of several others. The bathrooms are a long walk and there is no path from a large section of the camp to the beach. The owners are pleasant and have a good sense of humor. For sixty bucks a night though, it seems like profit is the sole motive with no plan for reinvestment in the facility. Your money would be far better spent on a lobster dinner at Five Islands.

What a gem... I had a wooded site that was tucked in the trees and spacious from the other sites. The cliffside sites looked really pretty too right up against the walls. They also have waterfront sites which I'm sure are amazing. I'll never forget the experience of this morning's fog and walking barefoot all the way out the entire length of the bay until it met the ocean and the turning tide coming back in. That made my whole day. Lots of people, dogs, families and kids having fun clamming out in the sand flats and just walking like I was. I thought the staff was friendly and I showered in both bath houses and they were both fine; standard for a campground. I'll definitely be back to experience this special walk out into the morning fog before the ocean returns to reclaim the bay. The location is fantastic to just stroll out there right from the campground. I'll bring my kayak next time too to paddle around the bay after high tide returns. Great memories of a beautiful bay!

My boyfriend, dog and I stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! We had a site on the cliff side loop, and it was so spacious and secluded but still only a 2 minute walk to the bathroom, 5 minute walk from the main office. The main office is right in front of a little sandy beach area that has a few benches to see the amazing views. The owner greeted us and gave us a map of the area with suggestions of things to do. The campground was so green and beautiful, and so cool that it’s right on the bay! A great experience overall, and a huge plus because it’s super dog friendly! We will definitely be returning :)

Stayed here for two nights with my dog last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The campground is a little off the beaten path but close enough to Bath in case you need to run into town. Stayed on one of the waterfront campsites and there was a short path to get right down to the water, perfect for playing fetch with the dog when the tide went out. Will definitely be back.

We absolutely love Sagadahoc Bay Campground! This was our second stay, we enjoyed kayaking, biking, clamming and watching the tide roll in and out. The sites are level with beautiful water views. We always meet nice people! Last summer we had a family emergency and the owners kindly understood and provided a full refund. Their thoughtfulness will never be forgotten, we will be back again and again!

One of the best camping experiences my wife and I have ever had. Large wooded sites, excellent helpful staff, lovely area, and fresh cooked lobster delivered to your door. Five stars!
