Always a pleasure to stay here or swing by to take a kayak or canoe trip. Great hospitality and the cabins and camp sites are beautiful and sit on the river for the most part. Games for campers and a great atmosphere. Cute little shop with plenty of essentials for the river or camping. Minutes from a grocery and a tavern with food. Also minutes from Seney Refuge...you could walk there! Would definitely stay here again and again no questions asked

We had a great week at this campground. The staff is excellent and very helpful, the camp store was amazing and full of everything a family could need for camp and kayaking surplus. Another huge plus was we we're directly in the middle of the UP, short trip to either Lake Superior And Lake Michigan. Thanks and we'll be back again The Bowman's

I enjoyed this campground very much. The sites were very well kept. The staff was pleasant and willing to work with our group. I saw them each day checking out the newly vacates sites for garbage and cleaning up sticks. Maintained COVID19 guidelines. Cute little sandy beach was great for a quick dip in the river. Great location in the U.P. and close by to antique stores. My only issue was with the main bathhouse other than that we loved it!!

Nice place/staff and great prices to rent your kayak! We did the 2 1/2 hr trip which ended up being closer to 3 1/2 hrs with us stopping. Beautiful river! Would definitely come back!

We went for a kayak trip down the river and it was beautiful, relaxing, and wonderful. The owners were very nice and helped us get going on the river. The equipment was great and they had a kayak big enough to take our small dog on river with us. We had car trouble after the river trip and they were so nice and did everything they could to help us get back on the road. I would highly recommend this campground and would definitely like to visit again.

This outfitter is truly a diamond in the rough. Our Trail Life Troop recently hired them to supply us for a Seven day Canoeing adventure. We also stayed several nights at their family campground. Their service, generosity and attention to detail is second to none! Thank you for a great trip! (When you camp here, if you wake up early you just may see Swiper the Fox roaming around in stealth mode)

Great place and even greater people! If you are looking for a great family place to explore the UP then look no further. The campsites are level, clean and shaded. The bathhouse is newer and very nicely kept! The kayak trip was awesome with 3 hours of nothing but Mother Nature. Best of all.....you are no more than an hour from just about everything you would want to see. Highly recommend!

This is our favorite non-state park campground. We’ve been 3 times now and never disappointed. Leon and Dan are amazing hosts. It’s right in the middle of everything. Pack up your cooler and head out for the day to tahquamenon falls, kitchitikipi, Marquette, escanaba, the soo locks, pictured rocks, etc....head down the street and watch the sunset at seney wildlife refuge! Forget something? Don’t worry I bet they have it in the camp store!! The river is so peaceful and my daughter had an absolute blast catching tadpoles and frogs in the pond!! And if you get a chance definitely canoe/kayak the seney wildlife refuge. Absolutely gorgeous. We will be back!!
