Definitely a cool place. Service was fine. I wouldn't say amazing or horrible. Food was pretty good. We all 3 got prime rib so I don't know about the other food. The free rolls were meh. But the building and atmosphere was awesome. Definitely come here for the ambiance and history!

Historic, like stepping back in time. Our server was fantastic, and the food was incredible! Filet Mignon was perfect and flavorful, crab cake as well. And the Rum Belly...I see why they have a 2 drink limit. Prices very reasonable given how great and historic the whole experience is. I visit every time I'm in Gettysburg.

Rating 5 star due to historical facility, including being part of the Underground Railroad. Food is tasty. Menu has nice specials. We really enjoyed our French Onion soup with the Open Faced Reubens.

5 stars throughout! The food, service and atmosphere! We have visited a handful of times and have never been disappointed. The Dobbin house is like a fine wine, it gets better with age. Can’t wait until our next visit. The Masser’s

My favorite. Try the French onion soup. It's their signature dish. I don't even like that soup but I always get it there. It has chuncks of beef, a bit of bread in it and the top has melted cheese. Also the gingerbread with lemon is really really good. A good combo. It's usually dark depending on what table you're at. They have a candle at most tables but didn't offer enough light to really read the menu well. But it doesn't seem right to have it any other way. Just use the flashlight app on your cell phone and you'll be good. Don't forget to ask about the natural spring used by the Dobbin family, and the underground railroad hideout and museum. The gift shop also had some interesting finds.
